Job Description

Job Summary:

The overall purpose of this job is to perform assembly of component parts into sub assemblies and then into end items for stock.

 

Essential tasks:

  • Follow assembly instructions, read and follow Blue Prints correctly
  • Inspect quality of parts and end items built
  • count component parts
  • bring to supervisor's attention any problem(s) with assembly or prints
  • count component parts

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs activities of other workers when necessary.  Performs and completes any other work assigned by management when requested.  Performs general clean up of work area.

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Prior manufacturing experience would be helpful.

 

Skills:

Basic math skills and the ability to read and write. Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction.

Work is normally performed in an air conditioned manufacturing facility.  The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
