Programs, sets-up and operates conventional, special purpose and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machines and machining centres to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school graduate level required with a tech or trade school certificate. Completion of machinist apprenticeship is preferred and/or 10 years minimum machinist experience.
Strong analytical skills are required. Must have at least a good general understanding of Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry.
Able to independently determine applicable machining processes and priority sequences to complete specification requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fork Truck Drivers License is optional.

Able to lift and carry items that may be a minimum of 50 pounds or able to move heavier items with hand trucks, dollies, carts or other material handling equipment. May be required to work on ladders, lifts or scaffolds to access tall equipment and machinery.
Some work required in tight spaces. Working with various power requirements from low voltage to high power applications. Various types of equipment, machines, cranes, and material handling items used throughout the shop. Some processes and running equipment can generate moderately loud noises at times.
