  • Job Description


     The Receiving Inspector will be responsible for inspecting of purchased and manufactured goods and be required to assist in all functions within the Quality Assurance team.


    Essential Tasks:


    • Active involvement in resolving day-to-day quality issues.
    • Perform Receiving Inspection on all incoming materials, used in manufacturing of products. Prepare and process quality-related paperwork on items received as required.
    • Oversee the certification process to ensure compliance of incoming materials and provide certifications as required by customer.
    • Maintain support files for all areas of responsibility.
    • Resolve and control the RMA process. Implement solutions to avoid the nonconformance.
    • Create Discrepant Material Reports.
    • Monitor and report supplier quality.
    • Perform finished good verification when required.
    • Perform all Mechanical and visual inspection related to incoming goods and material.
    • Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Manager of Quality Assurance, Quality Engineer, or the Senior Quality Associate.
    • Generate and maintain quality related customer certification of analysis, conformance, origin and sterility.
    • Enter RMA and receiving data into ERP system.


    Job Qualifications:


    • Experience and Training Requirements:
    • Have minimum of 2-years’ experience in the quality field and be knowledgeable of quality system requirements. Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards a plus.
    • Capable of precision measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers to evaluate product conformance.
    • Computer experience to permit quick familiarity with our programs, fast and accurate data entry, and data retrieval.
    • Capable of interpreting blue prints/drawings.
    • Strong mathematics skills.

    • Ability to work regularly without missing scheduled work hours.
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate with others in a clear and congenial manner.
    • Well organized and self-motivated to handle duties and assignments with little or no supervision.
    • Able to use discretion and exercise independent judgement to carry out job responsibilities with little or no supervision.
    • Willing to continue studies on or off the job to increase knowledge of the job.
    • In all actions, a demonstrated commitment to performing quality work, to building a trust relationship with all other employees, and to improving his/her own ability to understand and perform his/her job with excellence.


    • Physical Qualifications:
    • Ability to walk around the plant during the entire shift and climb stairs.
    • Ability to see with at least 20/40 corrected vision in the best eye.
    • Ability to hear a normal voice conversation in person or on the phone.
    • Manual dexterity to be able to operate a computer keyboard.
    • Ability to occasionally lift 30 pounds to shoulder height.
