    Assistant Maintenance Technician

     

    Assisting the Maintenance technician in the set up, troubleshooting, and repair of machines as necessary. Performing quality inspection on items produced.

    Completing daily production reports. Operating the wire forming machine and programing the settings for the automatic welding machines.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

     

    High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. A successful work history and related experience is mandatory.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

     

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception (corrected lenses authorized).
